FIREWORKS PERMIT
Welcome to the FIREWORKS PERMIT application process. Once your application is submitted, an application number will be issued. This number, along with related documents, can be accessed through your MyCity profile.
Required Information
Fireworks Type:
Indicate whether the permit is for
Low Hazard
,
High Hazard
, or
both
types of fireworks.
Event Details:
Include the
date and time
of the display, and the
address
where fireworks will be used.
Owner Permission Letter:
If the applicant is not the registered owner of the property, provide
a signed letter of permission from the owner.
Fireworks Safety Plan:
Submit a plan that is deemed
reasonably safe
and
acceptable
by the Fire Chief or a designated Officer. To see an example plan,

Application Conditions:
Must comply with:
Delta Fire Regulation Bylaw #5855,2021
BC Fire Code
Fire Safety Act of BC
, as amended
Fireworks permitted only for:
Special events, festivals, religious or ceremonial purposes, or film/TV production.
Not allowed within
500 metres
of Livestock Property.
Use restricted to the
specific date, time, and address
on the permit.
High Hazard Fireworks
or
Movie/TV pyrotechnics
require a
certified Fireworks Supervisor on-site.
If your application is approved,
a fee of $200
will be collected as the final step of the permitting process. After payment is received, the permit will be sent to the applicant.
