site plan (overhead view) depicting the layout and set up of the high hazard fireworks display must be provided with the fireworks permit application, and must include the following:
- The plan scale and clearly indicated north arrow.
- Locations of existing structures, public and private access roads, and spectator viewing area.
- Location(s) of pyrotechnic discharge area, and the distance to structures, access roads, viewing area, and adjacent properties.
- Specific information pertaining to the property, i.e., sloping lands, streams, wetlands, wooded areas, etc.
- Indicate use of adjacent properties; agricultural, woodlands, commercial, residential, etc
Fireworks Display Details / Safety Plan:
________________ have engaged ______________ to conduct an outdoor consumer fireworks display on their property at the Sports Field complex located at 2300 Falcon Way, Delta. The show is scheduled for Thursday October 24, 2024, at 7:30 pm and expected to last- 15 minutes. This display is part of their annual Halloween celebration; attendance is expected at 100 - 125 people.
The display will consist primarily of 1.4 low hazard consumer fireworks with 2.5" aerial commercial shells and a 10l pyrotechnic fireball effect. All products will always be under the control of the Pyrotechnicians, and no product will be stored on site. The expected fallout zone is shown as the yellow circle on the attached site plan. Adjustment for wind of the shoot site location will be made that evening to ensure debris is contained within the expected fallout zone. All products will be fired electrically using the Cobra wireless firing system. Any unfired product will remain under the control of the Supervisor.
There will be a minimum of two Pyrotechnicians on site for fire watch and crowd control. ___________ will be the Lead Supervisor, __________and ____________will be the Assistant Pyros. Two Volunteers will be provided by _____________for additional fire watch and crowd control (red X on site plan map). ____________ will also be providing Volunteers at the audience location for crowd control. The shoot site will be outlined in yellow caution tape to determine the boundary.
There will always be two 1O lb ABC and two 20 lb water portable fire extinguishers on site. A first aid kit will also be on site, both Pyrotechnicians are trained in its use. Any significant issue would mean an immediate call to 911.
