Welcome to the Tree Removal Permit application process.
Once the application is completed, a file number will be issued and can be tracked in MyCity.

Please note the following application conditions:
- A non-refundable permit processing fee of $25.00 is required for all applications. If the permit is approved, the processing fee will be applied to the permit cost.
- Applications and property titles will be reviewed by staff before permits are issued. Additional fees may apply to obtain land use contracts or restrictive covenants as part of the application review.
- Applications must be made or authorized by the property owner.
- All applications must include a photo of the tree and an aerial map marking the location of the tree. Applications to remove more than one tree must also be supported by an Arborist Report (e.g., to assess risk or condition of tree, comment on impact of construction, etc.).
- For strata properties, minutes of Strata Council meetings confirming support for the removal of a tree is required.
- If the application page is inactive for 15 minutes or more, the application will timeout and information will not be saved.
- Tree Removal Permit application data will not be saved for incomplete applications.
- If you are seeking to remove a street tree (in the municipal boulevard) that is not associated with construction; a dead, dying or hazardous tree; or are unsure about the ownership of a tree, please call Engineering at 604-946-3260 or
